SAUGUS — Mr. Laurence C. Erickson, 73, of Saugus, formerly of Lynn, died peacefully on May 13 at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann “Mae” (Russo) Erickson.
Born and raised in Lynn, Mr. Erickson spent the past 41 years living in Saugus. He was the son of the late Laurence and Margaret (Regan) Erickson. Laurence worked as an auto body mechanic and was a member of the Massachusetts National Guard. He was an avid sports fan who loved watching NASCAR and stock car racing, and above all, he especially enjoyed bowling and golfing.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Erickson leaves one step-son, Richard Murphy of Saugus; one sister, Barbara DiBona and her husband Erminio of Holbrook, one brother, Bruce Erickson and his wife Sharon of Saugus as well as many loving nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was predeceased by his step-son Michael Murphy.
