PEABODY — Yolanda (Tamasi) Fabrizio, 85, of Peabody and formerly of Saugus, died peacefully on Monday, May 8 at the Rosewood Nursing Center, Peabody. She was the loving wife of the late Luciano Fabrizio.
She was born in Italy on April 12, 1932, the daughter of the late Michael and Elisa (Tamasi) Tamasi and resided there moving to Everett in 1947. She later resided in Saugus before moving to Peabody. Yolanda had been a seamstress for 28 years with the Jordan Marsh Company and later at Macy’s department store at the North Shore Mall, Peabody.
She loved sewing and making outfits for her family, traveling with her husband and playing bocce with family and friends. She was a member of Our Lady of The Assumption Church and the Social Club, but what she cherished most was spending time with her family.
She is survived by three sons; Robert and his wife Cheryl Fabrizio of Lynn, Dino and his wife Linda Fabrizio of Peabody and Ezio Fabrizio of Saugus, her precious grandchildren, Daniel, Joelle, Nicholas, Christian, Sophia and Olivia Fabrizio; a daughter-in-law, Greta Zaniboni of Saugus, a sister, Lucia DeVincenzo of Everett, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Tamasi of Winchester and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Leonardo Tamasi and the sister-in-law of the late Benito DeVincenzo.
Service information: A visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the CONWAY, CAHILL-BRODEUR Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Her funeral will be held on Friday, May 12, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass in Our Lady of Assumption Church, Grove St., Lynnfield at 10 a.m. Entombment will be at Holy Cross Mausoleum, Malden.
