ANDOVER — Mrs. Barbara A. (Brennan) LaBrecque, 79 years, of Andover and formerly of Lynn, died on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 in Beverly Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Armand J. “Tootsie” LaBrecque.
She was born and raised in Lynn, the daughter of the late Charles Brennan and the late Helen T. (Peplowski) Brennan-Prioli. She lived in Lynn all of her life with the exception of her last two years in Andover.
Barbara passed as she lived, on her own terms and with dignity. She was a warehouse manager for Union Hospital as well as a volunteer at Union. She also worked as a waitress at the former Mel and Murray’s on Lewis Street. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, an avid Bingo player and enjoyed trips to Foxwoods.
Barbara is survived by her daughter, Dianalyn LaBrecque-Chapman and her husband Peter of Seabrook, N.H.; her sons, Douglas LaBrecque and his wife Linda of Salisbury, Robert LaBrecque and his wife Christine of Hampstead, N.H.; her grandchildren, Alyson, Jacob and Jonathan LaBrecque, all of Hampstead, N.H. She leaves two sisters-in-law, Ruth Brennan of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, Beatrice Atwood of Danvers; and a brother, Ron Prioli and his wife Gail of Lynn. She is the sister of the late Thomas C. Brennan. Service information: Barbara’s funeral will be held on Friday, Feb. 17, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. from the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Route 129), Lynn followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Lynn at 10:30 a.m. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery Lynn. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
