Angelina B. D’Amico, 91

SAUGUS — Mrs. Angelina B. (Nicolo) D’Amico, age 91, died on Sunday morning at the Beverly Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Carmello D. D’Amico.

Born, raised and a lifelong resident of Saugus, Angie was the daughter of the late Diego and Marion (Campolo) Nicolo. A waitress for many years, Angie was a familiar face to many who dined at the Tumble Inn in Saugus. An avid bingo and card player, a lover of crocheting, and could shop until she dropped. Above all her family came first.

She is survived by two daughters; Joann Noel and her husband Andy of York, Maine, Kathy Scheetz and her husband Bob of Iowa. Angie was predeceased by her son Carmen D’Amico and his wife Kay of Iowa. She was the dear sister of Marion Raponi of Peabody, Nancy Ciarlone of Revere and the late Diemitri “Nemo” Nicolo, James Nicolo, Joseph “Pappy” Nicolo, Salvatore “Sardi” Nicolo and Richard “Nicky” Nicolo. Dear grandmother of 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Service information: Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the BISBEE-PORCELLA Funeral Home, 549 Lincoln Ave., Saugus, on Thursday 4-8 p.m. A funeral will be held from the funeral home on Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at Blessed Sacrament Church, 14 Summer St., Saugus at 10 a.m. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Saugus.
