SWAMPSCOTT — Sean James McCarriston, age 34, of Swampscott, died Saturday from injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident.
He was the beloved son of Peter C. and Mary T. (Winston) McCarriston. Raised in Swampscott, he attended Swampscott High School and North Shore Community College.
Sean was a wonderful poet, and he loved music and art. He also enjoyed fishing with his father. His greatest source of pride was his four-year-old daughter, Skylar Rose McCarriston.
In addition to his parents and daughter, he is also survived by his longtime girlfriend, Janelle Gromada of Swampscott; his brother, Craig McCarriston of Swampscott; his aunts and uncles, Joyce Raymond of Marblehead, Michael Winston and his companion Donna Rivera of Salem, N.H., Maryellen Blaisdell and her husband Richard of Lynn and Mary Lawless of Lynn; his cousins, Caitrin Psihogios, Margaret Bane, Kyle Winston, Alyssa Fiorillo and Julia Raymond; as well as several extended family members. He was predeceased by his grandparents, James and Christine McCarriston and William and Eileen Winston.
Service information: His funeral will be held on Friday at 9 a.m. from the SOLIMINE Funeral Home, 67 Ocean St. (Route 1A), Lynn, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. John the Evangelist Church, Swampscott. Burial will be in Swampscott Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
